Coffs Harbour Family Day Care is a well-established provider of home-based childcare services on the Coffs Coast. Since our launch in 1985, we have established a longstanding reputation for offering high-quality, reliable family day care for local families by local educators.

Our Coordination Unit consists of a team of 7 staff who coordinate, support and monitor a network of more than 50 educators who look after the children of hundreds of local families.

Although our services have no strict boundaries, we currently have home-based care providers located as far north as Arrawarra to Bonville in the south and out west to Nana Glen.  Main locations include Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga and various Northern Beaches suburbs, Sawtell, Toormina, Boambee and the Orara Valley.

We are committed to providing reliable, flexible and affordable family day care services to families in the Coffs Harbour area and offering full support to the educators in our scheme.

Quality assurance

The National Child Care Accreditation Council (NCAC) implements a Quality Assurance System for all Family Day Care Schemes. Our scheme is validated every 3 years. You can check the accreditation status of our Family Day Care scheme on the NCAC website by doing a search for family day care schemes in our area.

Early Years Learning Framework

Coffs Harbour Family Day Care educators use the Early Years Learning Framework for young children to ensure that your child’s experience in day care is of the highest quality.

The Early Years Learning Framework is a relatively new national early learning framework for children from birth to five years old. Developed and trialled by experienced early childhood educators, academics, parents and carers, it focuses on play-based learning that is engaging and builds success for life.

Our educators will create a learning program that builds on your child’s interests and abilities, and will keep you in touch with your child’s progress. Through the Framework’s five learning goals, educators will help your child develop:

• A strong sense of their identity
• Connections with their world
• A strong sense of wellbeing
• Confidence and involvement in their learning; and
• Effective communication skills

Play Space for Family Day Care

Coffs Harbour Family Day Care is delighted with its new play space, located at  28 Loaders Lane, Coffs Harbour.  The venue has a great undercover area for rainy days, ample grassed area, inside play space, 5 toilets and a nappy change area.

All parents that are currently enrolled with our scheme are invited to attend our regular Play Space mornings at no charge.
