Budding golfers emerge in FDC

Home > News

Educators with Coffs Harbour Family Day Care have been focussing on healthy eating and keeping active in their services.

Anne and Leeanda took the children in their care on an excursion to the Coffs Harbour Driving Range-“The House of Golf”

The friendly staff welcomed the children and set them up with their equipment.

Before heading out to the hitting bays, the staff talked to the children about the safety rules and the importance of staying behind the yellow line.

The children experienced an introduction to the game of golf in a simple manner that was fun and engaging.

They learnt how to correctly hold their clubs and position their bodies correctly to promote a balanced full swing and make contact with the ball.

Some very stylish golf swings were evident and the concentration skills were fine tuned during the morning.  A great way to incorporate the Munch and Move Key message into the program.

A fun day for all!
